Town Clerk/Treasurer Luanne Osiadacz

About

Luanne grew up in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University. She moved to Cle Elum in 1996 and has enjoyed the small communities around Kittitas County ever since. Her role as clerk/treasurer for the Town started on October 4, 2021.

Roles

As clerk/treasurer, Luanne reports directly to the Mayor and works combining the offices of treasurer and clerk. She is responsible for the management and monitoring of all Town funds. In addition, Luanne handles all customer service duties, records and processes utility payments after preparing bills for meter reading and distributes agendas and support materials for Town Council. She works closely with the Town's building official, consultants and engineers to assure permits are completed and projects, both planning and construction, are staying on track.

Municipal Code / Comp Plan / Budget

The South Cle Elum Municipal Code is the Town's collection of laws passed by the Town Council. The laws themselves, or ordinances, are discussed at council meetings, adopted and published in the Upper Kittitas County Tribune. As long as they do not conflict with the laws of Washington State these ordinances have the “force and effect of law” in South Cle Elum.
The Comprehensive Plan was updated on June 21. 2022 and is a guide to the Town's physical development over the 2017 to 2037 period. The Plan fulfills the periodic review requirements of the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA; RCW 36.70A).
The 2024 South Cle Elum Budget covers all expenditures and revenues for the following funds: current expense, street, water, sewer, tourism, capital improvement, debt and bond.
